Dismantling faith is dismantling power. Faith is the strongest, most efficient anchor that humankind has known since millennia. No law, no constitution, no penal code has tethered a man to his moral compass more than the fear of God’s justice. Dismantle that, and you have an army of foot soldiers who do not fear the consequences of their actions, do your bidding in exchange of pleasantries and worry not about the larger damage they are inflicting upon the world. Because after all, there are ways around laws of the land made by man; it is the awareness of God’s justice that’s holding the world together to a great extent.
Ancient, prolific centres of Hindu faith are fountainheads of religious and social well-being. Temples like Dharmasthala disseminate so much grace into the world that it simply validates the presence of divinity – how else could there be such wondrous levels of good work happening from one tiny place in rural Karnataka, in the hands of one man?
Centuries of invasions have failed to dismantle the structures of faith in this country. How far would a haywire social media trial go? Not far; but it sure is frustrating to wait the storm out with patience and legal compliance. Even without a reliable reason to believe in the media trial, the masses spitting venom against the temple and its administration is enraging to sit through. Idiots, see that your faith is being systematically dismantled. See that your anchor is being loosened, and you are being swayed into a world where the tenets of Hinduism won’t apply. Please see that you are being turned into foot soldiers in their war against faith, and you are marching against your best interests.
Centres of faith are crucial in keeping the social system intact. Dharmasthala is a strong, benevolent centre of faith. Come see for yourself, do your own research and ask the right questions before you fall prey to the malicious smear campaign. No, our Gods don’t need protection; but we can always do our bit protecting our centres of faith.
